Hospital Pocket Notes · $29 once

The next potassium of 6.8 comes at 3am. The first hour is already written.

The top of page 26 of Hospital Pocket Notes: hyperkalemia, the first hour. Three boxes, stabilize, shift, remove, then a table of agents with onset and duration.
Page 26, as it prints: Calcium gluconate 10 percent, 10 mL IV. Onset 1 to 2 min, duration 10 to 30 min. It normalizes the ECG and does not lower potassium.

For residents and attendings on the wards. Nine night calls, the first hour of each on one page, with the source under every number.

Two pages, as they print

Pages 26 and 24 of the A5 file, not a mockup. Judge the writing before you pay.

Hyperkalemia, the first hour. Onset and duration for every agent, and a box that names the doses the guideline does not print, so you open the label instead of guessing.
Page 24 of Hospital Pocket Notes: atrial fibrillation with RVR, what you write. Ten numbered chart lines with the blanks to fill, and one worked example of an invented patient.
AF with RVR, what you write. Ten chart lines the guideline does not give you, with the blanks marked, and one line written out on an invented patient.

Every chapter has both kinds of page. Chapter one, sepsis, is free in full, all ten pages, no email asked: read it →

One named guideline per chapter, with the date it was read printed inside. A consensus statement is called that on the page. Hyponatremia uses the Korean Society of Nephrology 2022 recommendations because their full text could be read and checked line by line; they restate the European figures, and the chapter says so on its first page.

Questions

Is this the same file as the free sepsis chapter?

Yes. The free chapter on this site is chapter one of the nine, unedited. The paid file adds the other eight, the phone edition and the chart lines text file.

What exactly do I download?

Three files: the A5 PDF, 81 pages, built to print or read on a laptop; the phone edition, 209 pages of the same words set at 1.6 times the type size; and note-lines.txt, 90 chart lines from all nine chapters, ready to paste into a note.

Where do the numbers come from?

Each chapter summarizes one named published guideline and ends by naming the recommendations, sections and tables its numbers came from. Where the guideline printed no number, the chapter says so and names who holds it instead of inventing one.

Will I get future editions?

Yes. Every later edition is sent free to every buyer through Gumroad, the store that processes the order.

What if it is not for me?

Thirty days to change your mind, no questions asked, and you keep the files. Refunds are handled by Gumroad, the merchant of record.
